Bearbeitet von - -. Kecskemét, [1928] Ungarn, Kecskeméter Schachvereines. XVI. 4 t. (pictures) 157 [3] p. with chess diagrams. First edition…. Publisher's paper wrappers. Stamp of former owner Dr. Prof. Alois Mann on cover and title page, inscription of name on cover. - -- - Twenty experts, divided into two sections of ten each, participated in the international masters' tournament held at Kecskemet, Hungary, from June 25 to July 12. After the preliminary tournaments in each section, A and B, which were won by Dr Alexander Alekhine and L Steiner, respectively, the four leaders in each entered section A of the finals, engaging in an additional round robin tournament, and the four next in order in each preliminary section contested a similar final in section B. The upshot of it all was that Alekhine gained another important victory and came through as winner of the tournament without meeting a single defeat, but with only half a point to spare over Steiner and Nimzowitsch, who divided the second and third prizes in Section A Finals. Dr Asztalos won the fourth prize, Dr Vajda, Kmoch and Ahues divided the fifth, sixth and seventh prizes, and Gilg won the Eighth.
