Hanoï, Imprimerie d'Extrême-Orient, 1931, in-4, broché. 23 pp., 2 planches hors texte. Un des fascicules publiés à l'occasion de l'Exposition coloniale internationale de 1931. Rédigé avec A. Lambert, ce texte avait déjà été publié dans la Revue de botanique appliquée et d'agriculture coloniale. Le bactériologiste franco-suisse Alexandre Yersin (1863-1943), surtout célèbre pour sa découverte du bacille de la peste, s'était installé en 1894 à Nha-Trang dans le Sud-Annam, où il créa l'Institut Pasteur de Nha-Trang en 1895. A partir de 1898, il s'intéressa de plus en plus à la culture d'hévéa (pour soutenir ses productions pharmaceutiques), et surtout de quinquina, la quinine qu'on en extrait servant à combattre le paludisme.
