kartoniert. Albin Müller, auch bekannt unter dem Künstlernamen Albinmüller, (* 13. Dezember 1871 in Dittersbach (Erzgebirge); 2. Oktober 1941 in Darmstadt war ein deutscher Architekt, Pädagoge und Gestalter. 1906 wurde er an die Darmstädter Künstlerkolonie berufen, in der er nach Joseph Maria Olbrichs Tod (1908) zum führenden Architekten wurde. 1907 wurde er zum Professor ernannt, von 1907 bis 1911 war er Lehrer für Raumkunst am Großherzoglichen Lehratelier für angewandte Kunst. Die Darmstädter Künstlerkolonie löste sich während des Ersten Weltkriegs auf. Seit 1917 verwendete er den Künstlernamen Albinmüller". Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg veröffentlichte er viele Architekturpublikationen, betätigte sich als Maler und entwarf Siedlungshäuser (Auszug aus Wikipedia). Ambitioniert, ja fast größenwahnsinnig hielt dieses - wie man es heute nennen könnte - Event nicht nur Magdeburg, sondern eine ganze Region wie auch die deutsche und internationale Theaterszene in Atem. Eine ganze Stadt war quasi Theater, wunderbar gelegen direkt am Adolf-Mittag-See und Elbe. Eine Stadthalle wurde gebaut und ein Turm, der als eine Ikone der (Theater-)Architektur gilt. Zahlreiche große, kleine wie auch internationale Theater präsentierten Exponate und Inszenierungen. Die DThAM 1927 war Geschichts- und Leistungsschau, Treffpunkt der (internationalen) Theaterszene, beliebtes Ausflugsziel und eine logistische Meisterleistung. Ihr größter Verdienst liegt vielleicht darin, sowohl die Stadttheaterszene wie auch die Avantgardisten unter einem Dach vereinigt zu haben. Bis Juni 1926 war Wilhelm Deffke mit der Ausstellungsarchitektur betraut, danach Prof. Albinmüller.
