In this lovely view of the city from the south, the foreground is composed of a bucolic setting, with farmers and tradesmen hauling their wares along a road into the city, passing a shepherd with his flock. The city in the distance is dominated by St. Stephen's Cathedral, with Karlskirche visible as well as other notable buildings.
