No date of original publication or copyright, but publi…sher's note in rear places this Fifteenth Edition c.1949. Hardcover octavo has soft orange cloth-covered boards with gilt ruling & lettering to spine. Condition is Good: generally clean, with faded pencil marks to front & black smudging to rear board. Interior clean & unmarked save for gift inscription in pen in Italian to half-title page. Hinges secure, a couple of pages are loose or completely detached. The colored plates are lovely, with soft white margins showing light tanning, but no foxing; all page edges show more moderate tanning, with a few dogeared corners.
