Condición: see description for condition. 1st Edition. p.609 Recent rebinding in dark blue cloth with gilt-on red spine label and gilt date to bottom, this incoorate original brown paper wrapper which has some darker brown lbroken lines to top and outer side of title plus slightly ragged fore-edge, end wrapper (with p…ub.list to verso) has quite ragged bottom edge and missing top outer corner internallt supplied with strip of white paper. half-title + f/piece portrait photo above facs. sig., xxii + 620 + (2, 4 photos of laboratory etc. 2 per page), numerous text figs numbered by p; virtually unopened until the 'Table des matieres', in places this is badly affected by brown spotting and patches which do not look like ordinary tanning, pp.613-618 are especially affected, opening 614-5 being especially bad, small gilt-on-red ownership label of' Dr.Sydney Ross of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York' top outer corner of front pastedown and small brown rectangle bottom facing end-paper (a label removal ghost), the bound in original wrapper follows this, fore-edge and bottom edge of text-block uncut. Rather a mixed bag then as far as condition is concerned - fine new binding, poor-fair original wrappers, main text clean and unmarked being unopened but brown marking towards end.17.5 cm x 26 cm.
