Sinopsis

Even with technological advances, new construction techniques and the use of better quality construction materials, a large number of buildings are still showing various types of pathologies. Research has shown that pathologies occur in almost half of all buildings. However, only the accidents of greatest proportion and that require to determine responsibilities are published, leaving aside those that do not imply immediate risks. Based on the pathologies identified in buildings in the city of Rodeio Bonito - RS, and on the bibliographic studies carried out, this paper sought to address the procedures for identifying and correcting structural pathologies, seeking quick and feasible solutions in order to correct the problems and extend the useful life of the building.
