Divine Lord Ieyasu Chooses Nikko: The Founding of Toshogu Shrine and the Legends of Nikko's Origins (Japanese Language Book)

Condición: New. This regional history book examines why Tokugawa Ieyasu, the revered founder of the Edo shogunate, was enshrined at Nikko, and traces the creation of Nikko Toshogu Shrine. It also explores the surrounding legends of the founding of Nikko as a sacred mountain, including the traditions of its early mountain-opening monks and the religious landscape that shaped the site.
