Sinopsis

In this research work, synthesis of Schiff bases was carried by simple synthetic route. In the first step, the synthesis of dialdehyde 4, 4'-(propane-1, 3-diylbis (oxy)) dibenzaldehyde was done through simple reaction, from which three products were obtained and the desired dialdehyde was isolated by column chromatography. Using this dialdehyde, a series of pharmacologically important Schiff bases were synthesized.

Miss Saba Mehreen has completed her master degree from Department of Chemistry, Hazara University, Mansehra.
