Research on employee engagement, customer engagement, student engagement and stakeholders’ engagement is gaining attention day after day, especially with the increase of reliance on digital services and the decrease of human interactions. This change in “Human-to-Human” interaction has actually increased the value of “Quality” engagement since its impact on the system is growing every day. Probably every job requires some sort of passion to those who do it, but three specific work fields really require high levels of passion and belief since they should not be considered as “jobs” but as life missions: Medical (whether human or animal), Security (whether military or police), and Education (whether to children or adults). Those three specific fields require personal belief in the mission, since they usually require individuals to perform beyond what the job description requires and greatly depend on going the “extra mile” to perform. For that reason, learning more about what drives people working in education across the region could be very knowledge enriching, since those educators build up future leadership capacity and the can-do attitude that the region needs.

Biografía del autor

Dr. Tamer is an Assistant Professor for business administration and human resources at the British University in Dubai, with an experience that extends since 1998 in both fields. Khalid Alsinani is an Educational Supervision Specialist at MOE in the Sultanate of Oman. He has a wide experience in education, management and human resources development
