The major additions to the fourth edition are new chapters on digital signals and digital communications. Many of the other chapters have been considerably expanded, and new problem sets have been added. Mathcad1 has been introduced as a tool for problem solving, but the problems are formulated in such a way that these can be solved using other computer packages, or a good calculator.
