THE SUCCESSFUL MANAGER SERIES
Edited by Bob Garratt

Our daily experiences and, particularly, our work, provide us with endless opportunities to learn; yet many people only think of learning as something which takes place passively, in a lecture room. Through its emphasis on undertaking action through real work-based experiences and problems, its focus on personal learning, on reflection, and analysis and on learning with a group who share, listen, question and encourage 'new actions', action learning is a powerful new opportunity for those who undertake it.

Taking us through the practicalities of the action-learning programme, with comments from the participants themselves, 'Action Learning' is a complete manifesto for this revolutionary approach to management development. Action learning teaches skills that are of immediate and practical benefit at work. This book shows you the way forward for business in the 1990s and helps you to learn throughout your life.
