You could watch some random Netflix special… or you could read this magnificent specimen of a book!

Written by a slightly unhinged stay-at-home dad of 10 years, these are MY thoughts they are none of your business is a loose, messy and genuinely funny look at life stuck at home doing the dishes… the washing… the lawn… and… OK, I’ll stop there or this will go on forever.

It’s a hell of a book, this one.

Oliver Sims weaves through topics we don’t necessarily talk about in public. Sure, there’s divorce, pain, marriage, death, kids, sport, jealousy…but the fun lives in the chapters about magpies, boats, beers and sabotage. Barrels of laughs!

A few controversial issues sneak in too. You’ll get a good laugh out of them. (Not sure they should’ve been left in, to be honest.)

Edited by two legitimate, respectable professionals (so you know it must be good), the writing is conversational and easy to fall into.

It’s the kind of book that makes your head tilt… then laugh… then wonder why you hadn’t thought about it like that before.

Normal thoughts get stretched.
Simple things get overthought.
Small moments get blown out into something they were never meant to be.

This might be your kind of book.
