An original very early issue of Country Life Magazine dated November 21st 1936 featuring a main article on West Green House, Hartley Wintney in Hampshire, The Seat of Evelyn, Duchess of Wellington. With a six page write up with black and white illustrations of the property exterior and gardens, interior and furnishings. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the building (interior and exterior) and garden as it was at that time. This issue is in good condition with a lovely portrait frontispiece of Viscount Wakefield.
