The "One District - One Project" program has been in place since 2022, when the Ministry of Economy of Belarus, together with regional executive committees, was tasked to form a list of projects to be implemented in each Belarusian region. Among the tasks set in the implementation of this initiative were job creation, personnel retention in a particular district, and retention of competencies of a given region. The tasks also include the creation of new export-oriented products and the development of related industries. At the same time, any production will contribute to the development of related industries - transportation, logistics, trade, energy, services. In addition, import substitution is an important condition in today’s situation. As of the fall of 2024, 208 projects were already in this program. The planned total investment by the end of 2025 for this initiative is almost nine billion Belarusian rubles. Of this program, 38 projects have already been implemented and put into circulation. A total of one and a half billion Belarusian rubles should be invested in 2024. How is this program being implemented today? What are the prospects for the future? This is the subject of the proposed study.
