A nice copy of this first / limited edition volume of poetry. From a total limitation of 500 copies (including 100 Hors Commerce) this copy has no number - so is presumably one of the H-C copies. Softback, with cream covers. These are mainly clean, with a little darkening to the front cover top edge. The book is held within a glassine protective cover, which is clean but slightly darkened. Internally, the book is in good condition, with a little foxing - particularly to the first and last few pages. Odilon-Jean Périer was a Belgian poet of French heritage. He was born in Brussels in 1901 and died there in 1928 of rheumatic pericarditis. His birth name was Jean, but he chose the pseudonym Odilon-Jean Périer to avoid confusion with the actor Jean Périer. He was particularly associated with Surrealist artists and poets. He is still remembered today, with exhibitions and monuments to him in Brussels. 86 pages. 185 by 145mm (7¼ by 5¾ inches). .
