Contemp. name and address to front two endpapers and again on the recto of the frontis: William Preston / Portora House / Enniskillen. Founded in 1608, Portora School is still in existence today. Gift inscription at head of title: W. Preston / Portora House / Enniskillen / from his grandfather / General Armstrong. æThe son of a geniusÆ is one of the authorÆs early works and one of her most popular.
