FINE book, GOOD-VG DJ(in Brodart). Book spine bottom with 1/4" creasing. DJ with few 1" chips, but still nice. 7.5"x5",348(4)pp Bound in ribbed maroon cloth. Upper board with a single gilt edge rule. Gilt lettered spine & front. Inked name on fep. Otherwise book's interior AS NEW, including all three text block edges. Further, book stays closed when stood on its spine, a sign of having been read with care, if at all. Cover has minor flaws. Spine heel with 1/4" wrinkles. Spine top sunned where a DJ chip let light in. Book's front cover with a few almost imperceptible rubbed spots. $1.35 price on DJ spine heel. DJ with several 1" chips. A site run by Garry Chudleigh lists the probable 1st edition "points". These involve the $1.35 price, The HBW brand inside the front cover, overwritten by the words "copy number" with the number "38,636" just below. Also a 3, not 4, line blurb from the Philadelphia Sunday Dispatch. Chudleigh does say there is some disagreement about these points. It would certainly seem since this is the 38,636th copy printed that would be a clincher. Wright's previous 7 books had sold a million copies eaxh. FINE book, GOOD-VG DJ(in Brodart. 1st ed. TIGHT.
