Descripción
This 244 pp. indexed tome is an excellent early Cook Book, that in Part 1, deals with the table, china & silver, decorations, the menu, etc. Part II starts with measures & equivalents, appetizers & then includes all the recipes in food category groups, ending with frozen desserts. Before this Title, the author had written "The Boston Cook Book". There are some barely seen erasure marks on blank space, denoting the prior owner's favorites. and a very few spots on the page edges (as only seen when the book is closed), which is typical on old cook books that sat on the counter as recipes were tried. the book has light negligible edge stains on the last 30 pages, far from the text, and there is a lightly discolored square on the bottom of the spine where a label must have been. All in All though, the book is quite clean & tight for a 119 year old book. The first printing of this First Edition had brown cloth, and lists to $75.00.This Rust colored binding from the same year was apparently the 2nd Printing of the FIRST EDITION ! The book is Very Good Minus. -- THE PHOTO IS A STOCK IMAGE -- NOT A PHOTO OF THIS COPY !!. N° de ref. del artículo 1164
