Descripción del artículo del vendedor

[8], 79, [9] pages. DJ has some wear, soiling, and an edge tear. Includes Foreword; A Matter of Sustaining; Hand in Hand with the Priesthood; Charity Never Faileth, Never; Be Involved; Does the Lord Love Me, Too?, Too Much Is Too Much; Achieving Your Potential; When Both Are Employed; and Sustaining One Another. This book explains the creed of Connie and Hartman Rector of commitment and sacrifice for service that brought them to visible positions within their church. With a rich sense of humor, Connie Rector reveals to the women of the Church her philosophies of enriching support for priesthood callings. Her fresh statements and revealing insights encourage women not only to make sacrifices, but to help their husbands learn to sacrifice as well. In the act of sustaining someone else, Mother found herself called to lead. As she led, she found herself increasingly called to lead. As she led, she found she could call upon those she had sustained to sustain her now. They did so gladly. Sustaining is the important reverse side of leading, and the coin keeps turning. Opportunities for leadership spring from support. Often the only thing that seems to keep the Marshas of the Church going is the knowledge that they have made a commitment. Sometimes that commitment seems to drag like a ball and chain instead of nourish as a combination of powers and energies made in a commitment as was meant to do. First and foremost, a woman must constantly strive to keep before her the long-range vision of what she is trying to do. So many times a woman will let her own mind go, her own spirit lag in emptiness because she feels she must constantly give in to the demands of others. A woman owes it to herself to grasp some personal time so that she can labor to nourish her long-range vision of what she is trying to do. That is one reason she goes to church. She should take quiet time to read the scriptures, to reinforce her knowledge of the gospel, or read an uplifting book. Book literature can especially help her refresh her vision of life and the seriousness of natural consequences. Once we commit ourselves to sustain the men in their church work, we need to be "perfect" in charity. Charity is the first necessary ingredient. Men need to know that their wives are glad to see them serve. In the final analysis, husband and wife can stand together as King and Queen in the Eternities. Eternal life is the result of people growing together, sustaining one another in developing character and strength, and the godlike qualities necessary to inhabit the kingdom.
