"Dr. Rosenthal's Super Mind is a thoroughly engaging, scientifically sound testament to the immediate and long-term benefits of Transcendental Meditation - a technique I have been practicing for nearly two years. TM has made me more mentally and physically energetic, sharper, less stressed, and more positive. If I could write a prescription for TM to all my patients, I would." - Dr. Jennifer Ashton, ABC News chief women's health correspondent, Ob-Gyn. "Norman E. Rosenthal, renowned scientist and researcher, reveals the powerful, life-enhancing effects of Transcendental Meditation in this acutely observed and poetic book. In Transcendence, Rosenthal gave us the science behind TM; in Super Mind he does that and more, showing us the broad applications and transformative stories of real people using this simple technique." - Richard A. Friedman, M.D., contributing op-ed writer for The New York Times and professor of clinical psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. "The noted research psychiatrist and New York Times-bestselling author explores how the simple, evidence-based Transcendental Meditation technique powerfully develops your consciousness, creating the "Super Mind" - a state of optimal productivity, creativity, resilience, and happiness. In his most ambitious and practical book yet, [the author] weaves together decades of peer-reviewed research and compelling personal stories to reveal a higher level of mental development available to us all. This state of refined consciousness is long recognized by ancient sages and scholars but only now, in this book, validated in terms of modern science. Whether you are a meditator, a skeptic, or someone interested in peak performance, Super Mind will inspire you to consider the untapped realms that lie dormant within all of us - and propel you to develop this potential for enormous personal and professional advantage.". …

Descripción de la tienda
Vero Beach Books is an antiquarian bookseller with a constantly updated inventory of rare out-of-print books, signed books, children's books, plus a large inventory of ephemeral items such as major U.S. city newspapers going back 100 years and more, golden and silver age fine condition comic books (soon to be added), and many other ephemeral items as well as much more recent popular volumes. We have been in business for 25 years, originally known as Emerson Books (named after one of our owner's favorite authors, to wit, Ralph Waldo Emerson) located back then in Westport, Connecticut. That said, we are here to serve you, to offer you fine quality items that are conservatively described so that you will always be pleasantly surprised and delighted with your purchase. Twenty-five years in the bookselling business has borne out our stellar service oriented reputation; the only difference is that now we are located in the almost always sunny and warm climate of Vero Beach, Florida. Again, we are here to serve you and, as was the case when we were previously known on ABEBooks.com as Emerson Books, we will continue to offer our very popular 100% free search service for those hard to find books rare and out of print books. Oftentimes we are also able to obtain these rare finds at very good discounts to our customers' so it is always worth contacting us in such cases!
