Dust jacket condition preserved within new clear plastic non-adhesive removable covering. The FIRST AUSTRALIAN EDITION with all first edition points, as follows: facsimile handwriting to rear panel of dustjacket (the author's longhand version of the book's first paragraph); the words 'Scribe' and 'Melbourne' NOT in brackets on the rear inner dustjacket flap (the word 'Melbourne' does not appear below 'Scribe' in the reprint); close-up b&w photo of author in white shirt on rear inner dustjacket flap; copyright page states "First published in Australia and New Zealand by Scribe Publications 2003" (& no additional reprint details, nor numbers indicating print run). In the reprints the bold brackets were added to the word 'Scribe' on the rear inner dustjacket flap, plus the photograph of the author is a different shot from the first printing (the reprint shows the author face-on with a slight smile, whereas for the first edition the author has turned his head toward the camera & is not smiling). The author photograph is by Maurice Grant-Drew in both the first edition & reprints.
