This is an antique copy of the "Sermons Preached in Boston on the Death of ABRAHAM LINCOLN" - (published the same year as Lincoln's assassination). 1865 1st edition; J.E. Tilton and Company; Boston. "Together with the Funeral Services in the East Room of the Executive Mansion at Washington." The book contains a reading of Lincoln's burial service, the opening prayer, 25 sermons delivered by Reverends, and the closing prayer. There is a four page publisher's catalog at the back. Condition: Fading of the maroon cloth on the covers and spine, most notably at the bottom-left corner of the front cover. Cloth tears at the corners. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. The pages have a consistent light stain along the top and bottom edges, as well as at the upper-outer corner of most pages; there are also occasional, random stains and foxing spots.
