Octavo, 698pp. Red morocco, gilt trimmed covers. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spine with detailed embellishments. All edges gilt. Gilt turn-ins and marbled endpapers. Stated "Reprinted March 1926, 1927" on copyright page. Solid text block, faint toning to spine, lightly bumped corners, a touch of wear to joints. Previous ownership bookplate on front endpaper. A vibrant, near fine example. The Savoy Operas feature some of Gilbert's most popular works, frequently in collaboration with composer Arthur Sullivan. A primary highlight from this copy is The Mikado, which is one of the most frequently performed theatre pieces of all time.
