First published in England in 1956 as TIGER TIGER with a slightly different text, this is the first edition with the new text, AND the first time published in America. Winner of the Prometheus Hall Of Fame Award and finalist for the Locus All Time Best Award, (and one of my top ten significant SF classics). Gully Foyle, a high-adventure anti-hero is featured 'jaunting', a new method of teleporting oneself, running out into space to seek revenge on those who done him wrong, and getting caught up in the middle of a two-sided planetary war. A vintage paperback collectible. Some light rubs to the spine folds, upper rear cover edge, and upper spine edge, tiny surface nick to the lower spine edge rear corner, a few mild crimp-creases to the rear cover, "Sun March 26 1957" stamped to the upper edge of the front end-paper, else very tight and very good in glossy stiff-card wraps with Richard Powers surreal futuristic cover art with space-rocket ship, all page edges red; original printed code S1389 and .35c price still intact to the front cover, still bright hot-pink with pale-yellow titles to the spine.
