Scarce Canadian Edition using British sheets - Overall condition is Fair because pg. 175/176 has been sadly excised from the book (containing the one page famous poem "If"), possibly ex-library as end papers have old glue residue but no other markings, otherwise complete and tight and in Very Good Minus condition, no jacket. First Canadian Edition (& 1st Printing). Octavo, original red cloth titled in gilt on spine panel, small medallion in gilt on front panel, top edges gilt. 338 pp., 4 black & white plates by Craig inserted throughout the text. This Canadian Edition is issued from the British Sheets printed by R.R. Clark Limited in Edinburgh, with new preliminaries (half title leaf with CANADIAN EDITION imprinted at the head and the Macmillan Toronto Title page) and binding with "MACMILLAN / TORONTO" (Instead of "MACMILLAN & Co." on the UK edition). The print run of the Canadian Issue of this book was miniscule. A few small scuffs to the cloth and one tiny instance of wear along the edge of the spine panel, pencil name on front free endpaper dated 1910, a Very Good clean copy, nearly fine. Stories and poems, a sequel to 'Puck of Pook's Hill'. This volume bears the first appearance of Kipling's famous poem, "If". Nº de ref. del artículo: 313885
