Original, 1904, high quality,stapled pamphlet. Both staples tight and hold all 36 pages, including centerfold and cover tightly together. Very attractive, heavy card stock, greenish tan cover with simulated embossed "clasp" and "hinges" and title. Mild soiling on front cover. Neatly color penciled "244" across top all in bronze. All pages are high quality glossy paper. 8 of the sheets have evidence of light water stain across upper corner- up to 1 1/2 in. along top edge and as deep as 5/8 along front edge of corner. 4 of those pages are missing a corner chip as large as 5/16 by 1/8 in. An exceptional piece of Railroad history and also a fine example of high quality printing and graphics from the early 19th century. This particular volume contains excellent photos of recently produced locomotives from Baldwin with accompanying text, in English and French, on the facing page, giving details of the locomotive. CONTENTS- First set of pages has a picture of the Baldwin exhibition building at Louisiana Purchase Exhibition in St. Louis facing an overview of the pamphlet. Then an American type locomotive for Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad Company; a Mogul Locomotive for Delaware, Lackawanna & Western, a Pacific Type Locomotive for Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac Railroad, a Ten-Wheel Locomotive for the Mobile & Ohio Railroad, a Six Coupled Switching Locomotive for the Mobile & Ohio, a Ten-Wheel Locomotive for National Railroad Company of Mexico, a Consolidation Type Locomotive for the National Railroad Company of Mexico, a Mogul Locomotive for Galveston, Houston & Henderson Railroad Companies, a Four Coupled Double-Ender Tank Locomotive for the U.S. Govt. Sandy Hook Proving Ground, an Eight Coupled Double-Ender Locomotive for Woodward Iron Co., a Four Coupled Double-Ender Locomotive for the Western Meat Company, a Consolidation Locomotive for the Mexican Railway Company, a Double-Ender Tank Locomotive for the Long Island Railroad, and a Six Coupled Tank Locomotive for Brooklyn Dock & Terminal Company. These pamphlets were from the private collection of Paul Seel, Chief Mechanical Engineer for the Pennsylvania RR from the 1930's to the 1960's.
