There is some foxing of the preliminary pages, and some annotation to the contents pages; overall, the book is in good to very good condition. Page edges are evenly and moderately discoloured, with some light scuffs at the edges--moreso at head edge. Fore edge and tail, deckled. Head edge stained red. Previous owner's inscription on front free endpaper: 'Jean, from Russell December 1925'. Also Ex-Libris of Jean Starling, Canberra' is secured to front pastedown. Head and tail of spine lightly bumped. Front free endpaper bears discolouration and foxing, so too the title page and pastedowns. Binding is neat and tidy. Well handled, this book is in fair condition. Dust wrapper bears scuff marks and heavy discolouration. Edges are worn and chipped, front and back, and at spine. Chips and creasing at the head of spine and tail corner edge of front cover (see images). Small tears at corners and edges. Price clipped.
