Descripción del artículo del vendedor

First edition, first printing. Publisher's original dark green cloth with titles in gilt to the spine and front board, in dustwrapper. Portrait frontispiece of Richard Lancelyn Green and 24 pages of plates including photographs and figures in black and white. A fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean and fresh throughout without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with very lightly creased dustwrapper that is without fading, loss or tears. Richard Lancelyn Green (1953–2004) was one of the most important 20th-century scholars and collectors of Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes. He was particularly renowned for the depth of his knowledge and for an extraordinary personal collection of Doyle / Holmes material. Among his significant scholarly achievements was 'A Bibliography of A. Conan Doyle', written with John Michael Gibson. This collection of reminiscences, essays, tributes and personal recollections by people who knew or worked with Richard, is a joint publishing venture between the Sherlock Holmes Society of London and the Baker Street Irregulars. The contributors include members of his family as well as prominent figures from the Sherlockian and Doylean world. Further details and images for any of the items listed are available on request.
