Gd / Gd. 1st Printing of the 1967 Wesleyan Edition (UK) thus, edited with preface, general introduction and notes, by Martin D. Battestin and textual introduction by Fredson Bowers. While text pages are faintly and uniformly age toned, age mottling and light foxing is present along the edges (most notably the fore edge) pastedowns and endpapers; Book is mildly shaken, but remains securely bound, showing no gutter splitting, and is free of other markings and blemishes; Cover shows light stain to top corner of front board, mild bumping to tail and top corner of rear board and moderate bumping to headcap, and is otherwise clean and bright, with sharp lower and top front corners, minor bumping to joints and tail, straight spine, hinges and edges, and clearly legible and distinct lettering and design. Dust Jacket is clipped at bottom of front flap (but reflects original GBP 63s price), encased in protective mylar and moderately age toned, with rubbed and thinning along the hinges and wraps, chipping, with some loss, at the corners and joints, and with minor chipping at the top corners, joints, head and tail, and small dried dampstain at bottom of front panel near hinge - none which impairs legibility of lettering or clarity of design and illustration.
