CONDITION DETAILS (see our photos of actual book for sale): Olive green/brown boards with stamped title & elegant front pictorial cover in gilt, green & red; gilt titles on spine. Mild rubbing to edges and corners, front cover is scuffed but still very bright. Binding is firm and square. Top page edges gilt, other edges untrimmed. Internally very good, with no signatures or inscriptions, no creases except on two illustration cover tissues. Decorative knight & castle endpapers with small splits at hinge but still fully attached. First signature set of pages is loosening on the lower end but still well attached. Light foxing opposite tissued illustrations and on a few other pages; heavy foxing pgs. 128-129. Four pages of publisher's advertisements at end, with small penciled note on top corner of final blank page. Approx. 8.25"x6.25" NOT ex-library. 228 pages. A gorgeous copy of this beautiful book!
