From the conception to cutting materials, Design Your Own Furniture guides woodworkers through the process of designing a piece of furniture. They will learn to design their own unique furniture ideas, or design furniture that they've only seen in magazines or in person, but for which they have no actual building plans. Through drawings and step-by-step photos, they'll learn how to design a piece of furniture to fit their own special needs or scale a piece of furniture to fit where it needs to go. There is a quick reference chart of all standard furniture dimensions, such as chair seat height and how large to make a dining room table to seat six people. Home woodworkers, furniture makers and DlYers should find much interest in this book.
