First edition stated first printing of a fine hardcover in a near fine dustjacket with minor wear to the extremities , one small closed tear on the front cover, and is price clipped. Featuring Joanne Hunter who's marriage has just ended, and finds she is lacking support from family and friends in her time of need. She begins to get phone calls from someone clearly stalking her, and they get worse every time she picks up the phone. This copy is inscribed and signed by the author on the title page and according to Ms. Fielding, she is pretty sure, although it was a long time ago, to fellow Canadian author Howard Engel ( probably best known as the creator of the "Bennie Cooperman P.I." series), presumably at one of his readings around the time this novel was published.
