This publication had a very small print run, and is, therefore, quite Scarce. Dated 1914, it is in stapled wraps, Fine condition internally, and Very Good+ condition overall, with wear to the front and back covers. The 6.75 x 5.25 book contains 120 pages, chock full of recipes and ads. Food sections are: soups; fish; meats and poultry; vegetables; salads and dressings; eggs and entrees; bread, biscuits, muffins; fritters, griddle cakes; pies and puddings; ice cream, sherbets; cakes and cookies; jellies and preserves; pickles; beverages; candy; miscellaneous (ie, floating soap, mutton tallow uses, etc.); and a dictionary of cooking terms. Roscoe is a hamlet 2 hours northwest of New York City in Sullivan county, originally Delaware Nation territory. In the 2010 census, Roscoe's population totaled 541 souls. In a fire in 1916, 23 buildings in Roscoe were destroyed, but not the church, which sat in the midst of the fire zone. Today, it is on U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
