There is a title page slipped into a clear plastic pocket at the front which reads: Combined Injury Software,[mushroom cloud graphic] The Effect of Combined Injuries from Nuclear Weapon Detonations on Soldier Performance by Technico Southwest Inc. There is a sheet inserted at the back outer cover that describes the Features, Output Types, Output Media, What it Does, and Ranges and Options. Inside the front cover is a pocket with information on how to install/run the program on a hard disc and from a Floppy disk. Two floppy discs present. One disk is Labeled Combined (Performance after Nuclear Injuries) by Technico Southwest Inc. ***UNCLASSIFIED DATA*** V 3.4. The second disk is labeled in handwritten ink as Harvard Files C1 Soft 0, . .,8 Graphics of Fulton's TMK. The software contained on the enclosed floppy disc will estimate residual performance capability of a soldier following exposure to a nuclear detonation. It is based on the data obtained in a three year study of combined injury by Technico Southwest, Inc. for the Defense Nuclear Agency. The model used in this software is deterministic and is not theoretical. Uses multiple variable polynomials and attempts to fit the data at each time point as closely as possible using the least squares method. The three major injury producing outputs of a nuclear detonation are blast overpressure (B), thermal radiation (T), and ionizing (neutron and gamma) radiation (R). Only the primary blast effect is considered (secondary/tertiary effects are unpredictable.). Plastic folder with floppy discs and booklet Notation of V 3.4 on one disk. Presumed First issuance thus.
