Volume II only. 1st edition. Book size - 8.5 x 5.5 inches, pp. xiv + 560 + 3 plates + 3 + 7 (publisher's ad. ), b&w illustrations in the text, hardback in publisher's cloth binding. Book condition - Good plus; ex-library with bookplate inside the front board and small stamps to preliminaries, contents very clean, no inscriptions, some foxing inside the boards and on the flyleaves but none in the textblock, binding firm ; publisher's dark-blue cloth with gilt crest on the front and gilt title on the spine ; top corners a little dinged and bent but all corners remain sound, boards edges all in good condition, back clean, spine complete with ends creased but not split, spine colour somewhat faded but the title remains complete and clear, accession number in white towards the foot, front and back hinges intact, front board clean with complete and bright gilt crest.
