Presumed first edition. 8vo, green cloth gilt. Good, well preserved copy, boards fairly bright, but the spine has been replaced or covered over with grey cloth tape. Rear hinge starting but book is firm in the binding. The person who buys this can make replacing that makeshift spine a project. Private bookplate in ornamental lettering typical of the period on front pastedown endpaper. Publisher's ads at the back for all sorts of instruction manuals; the last page in the section of advertisement is a full-page ad for Spratts Patent Meat "Fibrine" Vegetable Dog Cakes and other animal feeds.
