Scarce First and only edition. Withdrawn copy from City of Westminster Public Libraries with their (appropriately) elaborate large bookplate. Mustard coloured rexine covered hardback with gilt titles and device to upper board that is heavily marked and impressed with library markings and with some small splitting to top of front hinge, though the binding is quite firm with no loose pages. Perforated library name to title page and library stamp to rear verso. Clean text; seven plates plus frontispiece; small neat stamp to edge of three plates, all plates, including folding plates in very good condition. Untrimmed fore-edge. Index of the Principal Initial Letters. A clean original working copy, priced at PoD level.
