Black leather spine and corners over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt decorative borders to spine (was gilt title on label but this has gone leaving letter impressions). Marbled endpapers and page edges. Pages: xxxi (Memoir of Daniel De Foe), 384pp. With 8 colour printed engravings in plates including frontispiece, 8 b&w engravings in plates on tinted paper, plus 6 woodcuts in the text (mostly in the Memoir). All illustrations present. A Fair only copy overall, though the colour plates are bright and good. The paper of most of the b&w plates has darkened considerably due to its nature and some have stains and marks, which the soft paper must be prone to. Most text pages clean, though some lightly tanned, occasional spots and smudge marks. Pages well bound.
