First impression of the first edition with the printer's page showing the number"1". Shortlisted for both the Whitbread Children's Book of the Year and Blue Peter Book Awards. Winner of the W. H. Smith 'People's Choice'. Winner of the Children's Book of the Year at the British Book Awards. ***'"Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code" is the third book in the Artemis Fowl series, and is preceded by "Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident" and followed by "Artemis Fowl and the Opal Deception". The storyline follows Artemis Fowl and his companions as they struggle to recover the "C Cube", a supercomputer Artemis had constructed from fairy technology, when Jon Spiro manages to steal it. Critical response was generally favourable'. (Wiki) ***Very good in black cloth-covered boards with metallic red titles to the spine. The boards are clean and unmarked. No bumps or creases. Corners sharp. Page block edges foxed. No reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. Internally near fine with no inscriptions. Pages clean, with black and white computer design to the bottom of each text-page. Paper stock tanned. No creases or tears. ***In a near fine metallic red illustrated dustwrapper, which has not been price-clipped, retaining the original publisher's printed price of £12.99. The dustwrapper is complete, with no creases, chips or tears. Edges just very slightly rubbed. No fading. Dustwrapper bright. ***222mm x 144mm. 329 pages plus publisher's advert pages to rear. ***Eoin Colfer (born 14 May 1965) is an Irish author of children's books. In the wrong hands it could be fatal for humans and fairies alike. But no need to worry, Artemis has a brilliant plan. He's not going to use it; he's just going to show it to a ruthless American businessman with Mafia connections.' ***'Brilliant fantasy' - Independent (Quote and review quote taken from the back panel) ***A very good copy of the true first edition - first impression. ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.…
