First edition, very early second printing of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, beautifully signed on a Bloomsbury bookplate affixed to the first free endpaper. Purchased shortly after the book's release on 8 July 1999 at Dulwich Village Bookshop, London. At the release of this third installment, the series really took off, and Rowling didn t conduct as many signing events as before. Instead, a limited number of signed bookplates were sent out by the publisher to bookstores to be placed in books to help promote sales. The original owner, whose name appears above the signed bookplate, kept the book for nearly 26 years before parting with it in 2025. The book is in fine, unread condition, with bright colors, sharp spine ends, and crisp corner tips. The binding is firm, and the pages are clean. This beautiful copy comes in a fine first-state dust jacket without any fading or wear. Included is a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) from Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist, the world s sole expert on J.K. Rowling's signature, as well as an interesting collector's card. Signed copies of Prisoner of Azkaban are very scarce in any printing, with the popularity of Harry Potter, Jo had stopped doing as many signing events as she had done previously and instead Bloomsbury started sending out signed bookplates to book stores to help promote the book. This is a 2000 variation of Rowling's signature and was signed at Perth Railway Station on July 11, 2000, three days following the publication of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as apart of her Hogwarts Express Book Tour. The book presented here are in beautiful condition the pages are bright and clean with no obvious toning to the page edges, internally no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing of any kind. Aside from some minor bumping to the base of the spine, this is is a fine copy. The dust jacket itself is in perfect condition with no creasing or fading of any kind.
