Descripción:

1st ed. Purple cloth cover with gilt title to the spine. Fine with one tiny dulled spot and a hint of tanning to the page edges, in fine dust jacket, not price clipped, £ 9.95 intact, in protective mylar cover. Jacet illustration by Clifford Harper. The Fifteenth Chronicle of Brother Cadfael. 205pp. Map drawing to the endpapers. .SIGNED COPY. Signed by Peter's at title page. In Shrewsbury in 1142, the worst of winter arrives early bringing with it a heavy snowfall. Thus the saftey of the guest-hall roof comes into jeopardy and the brothers are called upon to effect repairs -- despite the weather--before the damage grows. But the icy and treacherous conditions are to prove near fatal for Brother Haluin. His deathbed confession is heard by Brother Cadfael and The Abbot only. And a wicked story it is, of trespasses hard for God or man to forgive. But Haluin doesn't die and when he recovers he determines to make a journey of expiation, with Cadfael as his sole companion. Once again, Brother Cadfael must abandon his herbiary and turn detective. N° de ref. del artículo 016703
