The John Church Compmany [Published Date: 1909]. Sheet music, piano solo. No linguistic content. Folio, 5 pages (including cover). Lovely cover art by unnamed artist. "16099-3" printed at bottom of inside pages. Page 2 has an excerpt from a Reverie entitled "In Silent Thought" by C. S. Morrison, "A New Gem by the Composer of Meditation and Consolation". Back cover is an advertisement that states "Try This One" with an excerpt of 'Unspoken Words: by L. Lockwood Moore. In good condition with a few nicks and tears and creasing along edges. Previous owner's name in pencil on top of front cover. Moderate overall aging, spotting and soiling, but otherwise unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. Kenneth Sherman Clark (1882 - 1945) was born in Pittsburgh and attended Princeton University, graduating with an A.B. degree in 1905. While at Princeton, Clark was active as a composer and conductor for the Princeton Triangle Club. He went on to write songs for Broadway productions, to write for concert and operetta, and to compose songs for Princeton University. Clark served on the editorial staff of Musical America from 1912-1917. In 1917, he joined the army, where he served as Army Song Leader with the 79th Division at Camp Meade and in France until 1919. He was in charge of the Bureau of Community Music for War Camp Community Service from 1919-1923. Between 1923 and 1928, he served as the Assistant Secretary of the National Music Week Committee while working on the editorial staff of the National Bureau for the Advancement of Music. Clark ended his career as a Supervising Editor at Paull Pioneer Music Corporation, where he worked from 1928 until his death in 1945. N° de ref. del artículo 20191211004
