Showing principal railways, principal roads, canals, ocean currents, passes, principal airports, elevations and depths in feet. With inset maps showing The United Nations, International Time Zones, The Arctic Circle, Antarctica. Old fold creases, some trivial browning and nicks along folds. Generally a very good example. "Gilbert Grosvenor was elected president of the National Geographic Society in 1920. During his administration, greatly increased revenues enabled the society to send out numerous expeditions to the North and South poles, into the stratosphere, and to the ocean depths and to conduct a myriad of other investigations."
