Accompanied by a fine glossy 6¼" X 7 3/4" black and white news agency photograph (International News Photos), a candid closeup of MacArthur in civilian garb -- overcoat, silk scarf, hat. Caption at bottom dates it 25 January 1955 and describes the scene as "A striking closeup of General Douglas MacArthur just before he flew from New York today to celebrate his 75th birthday in Los Angeles tomorrow.
