[From introduction] This paper is the second of a series on monogenetic trematodes of the Texas Coast. It is the result of a survey conducted during the summer months of June, July, and August of 1952 on 327 marine fishes belonging to forty different species. Some of these were caught by sports fishermen from Port Aransas, others were brought by commercial fishermen several iniles away from Port Aransas and from different parts of the coast-line in Texas. The survey work was done from the Institute of Marine Science of The University of Texas, Port Aransas, Texas. Given below are descriptions of fourteen species of monogenea eight of which are new, four were previously described, and two are new combinations of old species. Redescriptions of old species are given because many of the old descriptions are not complete, being based on only one or two specimens, or poorly fixed and stained materials. The taxonomic position of each parasiteis indicated before the description. At the end of the description of each parasite there is a short discussion regarding its relationship to closely allied species if any, and the distribution of the species and genus in the Gulf of Mexico, in North America, or elsewhere.
