Añadir al carritoSoft cover. Condición: Fine. 1st Edition. Published in 1967, Intrepid 8 featured one Charles Bukowski one letter on the subject of writing poetry. Bukowski would appear in seven issues of Intrepid between 1966 and 1972. Edited by Allen De Loach in New York (issues 1-5) and then Buffalo (issues 6-41), Intrepid (1964-1980) published a large number of poets directly and indirectly associated with the New American Poetry, and especially Beat writers. Contributors included a long list of such influential figures as Allen Ginsberg, Gregory Corso, LeRoi Jones (Amiri Baraka), Philip Whalen, William Burroughs, Diane di Prima, Charles Bukowski, Ted Berrigan, Gary Snyder, Ted Enslin, and Charles Olson. A consistent issue with Intrepid was the length of the staples in the binding, due to the thick, textured covers. Sometimes the staples barely make it through the back cover, other times the staples don't. This copy is in Fine condition with some light rubbing to the back cover. The staples made it through the back cover, but future owner should handle it lightly. Overall, a very nice copy of this important poetry journal. Box 5.
