Paperback. Condición: New. Print on Demand. This book, a historical account written by the Roman historian Sallust, focuses on the acclaimed politician and infamous conspirator, Catiline, as well as his plot to overthrow the Roman government. Providing a glimpse into the potent political climate of the Roman Republic, the author analyzes the motivations, tactics, and ultimate failure of Catiline's audacious scheme to seize power. Sallust explores the corruption, personal ambition, and societal decay that plagued Rome during this period, weaving together a rich tapestry of historical events. Through vivid descriptions and meticulous research, this book offers profound insights into the nature of political power, the dangers of unchecked ambition, and the fragility of democratic institutions.
