Añadir al carritoA packet of pre-conference discussion issued by the National Organization of Rosenberg-Sobell Committees for their Chicago conference, Oct. 10-11, 1953. The packet begins with full page quote by Abraham Lincoln followed by excerpts from a letter by Morton Sobell writing to his wife from Alcatraz. The pre-conference papers include a Statement of Policy, Representation and Voting Plan of Conference, the National Organization structure, and the group's Method of Operation. Established in October 1951 as the National Committee to Secure Justice in the Rosenberg Case, the Committee turned its attention toward freeing Morton Sobell following the execution of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg in 1953. Sobell was an engineer who worked with the Rosenbergs as a Soviet spy. He served nearly 18 years of a 30-year sentence. Side-stapled 11" x 8 ½" sheets, 7 leaves mimeographed on rectos only. Toning to cover sheet, light edgewear, a few penned squiggles to the cover sheet. Not found by us in OCLC.
