History of the Booth American Company, founded in 1939 (by the Booth Newspaper family, who also founded Cranbrook), which ran several radio stations an local cable companies in Michigan and beyond. WITH SHORT, HANDWRITTEN NOTE PAPER CLIPPED INSIDE FRONT COVER FROM "JACK" (John Lord Booth), TO "IRV" dated June 16, 1981, presenting this booklet. "Irv" was Irving Book, son of one of the famed Book Brothers, who built a good portion of the buildings surrounding Washington Blvd (including the Book Cadillac Hotel) in downtown Detroit.

Frontispiece and three additional photographic still plates from the 1932 movie bound in. Light tanning to cloth at edges, hairline creases to spine panel, a very good clean copy in dust wrapper which has some mild dust-soiling and very light wear to the extremities but no significant chips or tears.

He holds a gun in his proper right hand, his proper left leg bandaged and his crutches and a knife fall to the ground. A man at left stands at the barn door, while a group of soldiers outside the barn look in, one pointing a gun at Booth" (OCLC). Magee also published the famous print "Death Bed of Abraham Lincoln." OCLC locates one copy (American Antiquarian Society); copies are also at the Library of Congress and the Huntington Library. Margins a little browned, but very good, light creases from folding.
